Angeliki Tsigou was born in Athens in 1957. She studied in Brussels (Victor Horta School of Architecture), worked in the Technical Department of the National Bank and mainly dealt with restoration and reconstruction projects of traditional and classical buildings, during which it was necessary to cover the studies with photographs on a professional level. At the same time, she worked in the private sector as an architect, having her own office and carrying out several design and construction projects. She is married and works with Konstantinos Myrianthis and mother of Theseus.
She has been self-taught in the art of photography for 50 years, inspired by all kinds of works of art, Eastern and Western cultures and human conditions. She studies the history of cultures and art, is an amateur jeweler following the teaching of the painter-jeweler Dimitris Nikolaidis for thirteen consecutive years. She always searches deeply for the hidden meaning attached to anything that is opposed to the ephemeral. She sees the world through her camera.
